Due to the surge in COVID-19 cases, Maharashtra government announced a curfew in the state and shooting of TV serials, films and ads came to a halt. Due to the situation, makers of TV shows shifted their shooting locations in order to continue shooting and keep fans entertained. And recently, reports of Ghanshyam Nayak, who plays Natu Kaka in TMKOC going through a financial crisis has been making buzz. Putting an end to all the rumours, Ghanshyam dismissed the rumours and said that he has not taken any break from the show.
As per a report in Hindustan Times, he said, 'I don't understand why people pass such negativity around? I have not taken a break from the show. The circumstances are such that senior actors are not shooting outside Maharashtra. We are following safety protocols and it is in our own interest that the makers have taken this decision. I am not unemployed, the team is looking after us. And I hope to resume shooting as soon as they move back to Mumbai.'
He further added that he is not suffering from any financial crisis. 'I am enjoying my time at home with my grandchildren and my children are actually helping people who need any kind of help. I am neither unemployed nor suffering from any financial woes,' he shared.
For the uninitiated, the actor had undergone neck surgery in September last year and had also taken a break from shooting then. He hopes to be back on the set once the team move back to Mumbai. His character 'Natu Kaka' is one of the most loved characters by fans. While he may be popularly known for his role in TMKOC, he has acted in several Hindi as well as Gujarati films.
